The Art of a Classic Holiday Table

November 9, 2026

The holiday tables we return to for inspiration often share a few familiar details: the richness of plaid, the delicate pattern on a china plate, the way glassware catches candlelight. Their appeal is in how those elements come together, each adding something to the feeling of the room.

For this collection, we’ve explored four expressions of traditional holiday style through our rental inventory. Some lean into color and pattern; others find their character in softer shades and layered textures. Each offers a different starting point for a table that feels festive, welcoming, and full of personality.

Merry Tartan

There’s an easy confidence to red tartan. Here, its bold pattern is balanced by woven base plates, chestnut-handled flatware, and the muted green of an Ember Frost napkin. White china leaves a little breathing room between the layers, while fine gold rims echo the candelabra at the center. Evergreen branches and red velvet bows finish the setting with a generous dose of holiday nostalgia.

Vintage Noel

A quieter palette gives the details room to be appreciated. Meadow green velvet and celadon napkins form a soft foundation for floral china, with each layer revealing a different border, texture, or shade. The sculpted grey base plate lends a gently weathered feel, while champagne-toned flatware and cut crystal glassware add brightness.

Gilded Glow

Working within one color family can make texture all the more compelling. A patterned gold runner sits against the grain of the Vintage Ash Farm Table, joined by the subtle sheen of shantung napkins and the broad gold edge of a lacquer base plate. Scroll White China breaks up the metallic layers with its creamy finish and decorative curves. Gold flatware and delicate glassware complete a table that feels abundant, with the warmth of the wood keeping it inviting.

Alpine Holiday

Deep green plaid sets a cozy tone, softened by natural hemstitch napkins and cream china. The curves of a brushed champagne base plate bring a decorative touch to the tailored linen, while onyx flatware and smoke glassware give the setting depth. Evergreen branches, ivory candles, and small ceramic houses carry that palette through the center of the table. It’s a look that balances the charm of a winter retreat with the polish of a thoughtfully set dinner.
